Mud, Feathers, Engines & Everything Else

This blog is where I share the stories behind my photographs — the places I go, the events I’m drawn to, and the moments that make me stop, look twice, and reach for the camera.

I photograph what excites me and what moves me. That can mean standing among thousands at Ride to the Wall, Theo’s Egg Run, Falklands Ride of Respect, or the colour and energy of Nottingham Carnival. It can also mean getting salty and windswept at Bempton Cliffs with the seabirds, observing the grey seal nursery at Donna Nook, or standing in a muddy field at a ploughing match wondering why I didn’t wear better boots.

I love wildlife — especially the rutting season, when everything feels raw, noisy, and unpredictable — and I’m just as happy photographing dance events, where movement, expression, and fleeting moments are everything. If there’s atmosphere, emotion, or a story unfolding, I’m probably interested.

Alongside my photography, I also have a Redbubble shop where I create AI art designed from my own original photographs — not generic prompts, but artwork developed from images I’ve captured myself. Each design is a unique extension of my photography rather than something off-the-shelf, and is available on t-shirts, hoodies, stickers, and other everyday bits and pieces.

You’ll find the direct link to my Redbubble shop at the top of the page, along with my AllMyLinks page where everything else lives in one place.

This site is very much in its infancy. There’s a lot more to come — more photographs, more events, more muddy fields, more early mornings, and more moments that deserve to be seen and remembered. Consider this the beginning, not the finished article.
